What an astrology reading actually covers
A natal reading works from your date, time and place of birth. The time matters more than people expect: the ascendant moves a degree every four minutes, so a guessed birth time produces a chart that is confidently wrong rather than approximately right.
Beyond the natal chart, readers work with transits — what is moving across your chart now — and with synastry, which compares two charts. Transits are what most people actually want when they ask about a year or a decision.

What a person adds that software does not
A generator can tell you that Saturn is transiting your seventh house. It cannot tell you which of the three things happening in your life that is about, because it does not know about them.
That is the whole difference. Astrological software has been excellent for thirty years and is not what is missing. What is missing is someone who reads the chart against your actual situation and tells you which part matters right now.
It also means the quality of your question determines the quality of the reading more than the software ever could. Bring a situation, not just a birth date.
What it costs here
The first answer to your question is free, with an initial balance deposit required for some new accounts, because a reader's reply is never billed. Once that question has been answered, you continue with that astrologer in writing or move to video at their rate — median $1.00 a message, $2.00 a minute — drawing first on the free messages they grant (three by default, and some readers set none and charge from the first message) up to a platform-wide ceiling across every reader combined, and then from a balance you top up yourself.
There is no subscription. Nothing renews. If you never top up, nothing happens.
What it cannot do
It cannot give you a date for a life event, and an astrologer worth paying will decline to. Timing is where invented answers are easiest to give and hardest to check.
It is not medical, legal or financial advice, and anyone offering those under an astrological wrapper is selling you something else entirely.

Your first answer costs nothing — one free answer per person, not per reader. Some new accounts require an initial balance deposit before sending. If you want to keep talking afterwards, you continue with that reader in paid chat, or move to a paid video call. That choice is always yours.
Is this a real person or an AI?
The separate question form sends your question to human readers on FateArc, and the first one to take it writes the answer. If a page also offers an instant card draw, that tool uses written card meanings; it is not a human response or an AI model.
Who can see my question?
Readers here see it while it is waiting to be picked up. Once a reader takes it, only that reader can reply, and the conversation continues privately between the two of you. It is never published and never shown on your profile.
How long does it take to get an answer?
It depends on who is free when you ask. Readers answer when they are at their desk, so it can be minutes or it can be several hours. We email you the moment your answer arrives, so you do not have to sit and wait on the page.
Why not just use a free chart generator?
Use one — ours is free and gives every placement. A generator can tell you Saturn is transiting your seventh house; it cannot tell you which of the three things happening in your life that is about, because it does not know about them. That gap is the entire reason to talk to a person.
What if I do not know my birth time?
You can still get a useful reading of the Sun, Moon and planetary positions, but the ascendant and the house placements will not be reliable. A guessed birth time produces a chart that is confidently wrong rather than approximately right.
