What "free" means on most psychic sites
A free-minute or credit offer can still require payment details or a first purchase. Check both the entry condition and the regular billing unit before you start.
- Keen: its help center describes 5 minutes for $1 with select advisors; a separate landing page advertises 10 minutes for $1.99 for new customers with a credit card. Check the offer shown to you and the advisor's regular per-minute rate.
- Kasamba: the first three minutes with a new advisor are advertised as free after registration and billing information; later time is billed per minute, with 50% off the rest of an eligible chat on its landing page (advisors originally priced at $1.99, $50 maximum).
- Purple Garden: its public reader list shows per-minute chat rates and advertises credit on a first purchase. Check the purchase terms before treating the credit as a free reading.

Why the first answer has no reading charge
Under FateArc's current terms, the first question has no reading charge and a reader's reply is never billed.
Your first question and any reader reply are free. Some new accounts require an initial balance deposit before sending. If you continue in paid chat, charges apply to messages you send, not to the reader's replies.
What comes after is your decision entirely. If you keep talking, any available introductory messages are used first; later messages you send use your balance at that reader's displayed rate. Check the allowance, rate and any required deposit before you begin. If you would rather read the answer and leave, that is a complete and normal use of this site.
How to write a question that gets a useful answer
This matters more than which reader you get. A vague question produces a vague answer from anyone, human or otherwise — and a generic reply is exactly what makes people conclude the whole thing is a scam.
- Ask about one situation, not three. "Will he come back" beats "what about love, work and my family".
- Include what happened and roughly when. Three weeks of silence is a different question from three years.
- Say what you actually want — a decision, reassurance, or a straight answer you might not like.
- Include something only you would know to mention. It gives a real reader something to work with, and it makes a template answer obvious immediately.
Two or three sentences is enough. You are not writing an essay; you are giving a person enough to see the shape of your situation.
How to tell whether the answer was written for you
Read the reply against what you actually wrote. A person who read your question will refer to your specifics, and will sometimes disagree with you or ask you something back.
Be sceptical of anything that would fit anyone: flattering generalities, sweeping predictions with no conditions, exact dates, or a warning about a curse that a paid service can lift. Those are sales devices, and they exist in this industry.

The separate question form sends your question to human readers on FateArc, and the first one to take it writes the answer. If a page also offers an instant card draw, that tool uses written card meanings; it is not a human response or an AI model.
Who can see my question?
Readers here see it while it is waiting to be picked up. Once a reader takes it, only that reader can reply, and the conversation continues privately between the two of you. It is never published and never shown on your profile.
How long does it take to get an answer?
It depends on who is free when you ask. Readers answer when they are at their desk, so it can be minutes or it can be several hours. We email you the moment your answer arrives, so you do not have to sit and wait on the page.
Do I have to add a card to get the free answer?
