Your first answer costs nothing — one free answer per person, not per reader. Some new accounts require an initial balance deposit before sending. If you want to keep talking afterwards, you continue with that reader in paid chat, or move to a paid video call. That choice is always yours.

The separate question form sends your question to human readers on FateArc, and the first one to take it writes the answer. If a page also offers an instant card draw, that tool uses written card meanings; it is not a human response or an AI model.

Readers here see it while it is waiting to be picked up. Once a reader takes it, only that reader can reply, and the conversation continues privately between the two of you. It is never published and never shown on your profile.

It depends on who is free when you ask. Readers answer when they are at their desk, so it can be minutes or it can be several hours. We email you the moment your answer arrives, so you do not have to sit and wait on the page.

Both routes are available on FateArc. Browse profiles to choose a specific reader, or send a first question for a reader to take. The question-first route does not let you require a particular reader to respond.

Paid written chat is charged per message you send at the reader's displayed rate, after any remaining introductory allowance. Reading, typing and a reader's replies do not create a per-minute chat charge. Video is priced separately per minute; check its minimum duration before starting.

No. A human reader must choose to take your question, and availability varies. There is no guaranteed response time or answer. FateArc emails you if an answer arrives, so you can return to the conversation later.
