Is Psychic Sofa legit?
Psychic Sofa is an operating UK business. Its terms name Psychic Sofa Limited, company number 09255610, at Alex House, Chapel Street, Salford, and Companies House lists that company as active and incorporated on 8 October 2014. The site says it has offered online readings since 2009 and describes itself as family run. That establishes a real company, not a reader's ability or the accuracy of a reading; its own terms say readings are for entertainment purposes only. We reviewed public information and did not make a test purchase.

Psychic Sofa: what the official information says
Sources checked October 15, 2026
Psychic Sofa is a UK phone psychic service run by Psychic Sofa Limited in Salford. You pay by the minute on a premium-rate number, a mobile short code or a card line, or from a prepaid wallet; it also offers text and email readings. Its refund for a poor connection covers card-paid calls ended within five minutes. Source: Psychic Sofa: home page.
Written chat billing: Per minute by phone: the home page lists 80p a minute plus your network access charge on 0905 789 1111, £1 a minute on the mobile short code 60065, and card bundles on 0161 784 1784 from £16.80 for 20 minutes. Verify billing on Psychic Sofa.
What this means when choosing
Check which line you are calling. The premium-rate number adds your network's access charge on top of the 80p a minute, the mobile short code is £1 a minute, and the refund conditions apply to card-paid calls rather than premium-rate ones. Wallet credit is refunded as minutes, not cash.
Questions about Psychic Sofa
How much does Psychic Sofa cost?
The home page lists three phone routes. 0905 789 1111 costs 80p a minute plus your network access charge and goes on your phone bill. The mobile short code 60065 costs £1 a minute with no access charge. The card line, 0161 784 1784, sells bundles: £16.80 for 20 minutes, £24.60 for 30 minutes and £48.00 for 60 minutes, including VAT. The wallet page sells larger bundles, from £96 for 120 minutes up to £384 for 480 minutes, each with 10% extra minutes added, and the home page says app top-ups add 15%. At 80p a minute, a 20-minute call costs £16 before the access charge; that figure is our arithmetic, not a quote.
Does Psychic Sofa give refunds?
Partly. Its refunds page says a refund for a reading you are unhappy with applies to calls paid by card, not to premium-rate calls: you end the call within five minutes and contact the company within 48 hours, and it allows one refund per reader. Calls paid from the wallet are credited back as minutes rather than cash, the wallet balance itself is not refundable, and unused minutes expire after six months. Its terms add that refunds are not guaranteed. Read the refunds page before your first call, because the line you dial decides which rules apply.
How does Psychic Sofa choose its readers?
The site says it vets every potential reader, that screening includes a live test reading, and that readers who continue to fall short are removed. These are the company's own descriptions; it does not publish the criteria, and screening says nothing certain about how a particular reading will go for you.
What should I check before choosing Psychic Sofa?
Check which line you are calling. The premium-rate number adds your network's access charge on top of the 80p a minute, the mobile short code is £1 a minute, and the refund conditions apply to card-paid calls rather than premium-rate ones. Wallet credit is refunded as minutes, not cash.

How FateArc compares
FateArc offers written web chat, voice calls and live video with independent human psychics. Paid written chat is charged per message you send; voice and video calls are charged per minute. An adult can create a free account to submit a written question and adds a balance only if they choose to continue. The written question carries no reading charge, and a psychic's reply is not billed. Follow-up chat may use a free-message allowance set by the psychic, subject to the platform-wide cap of three free messages per account. There is no guaranteed response time.
Choose a psychic for their approach and the kind of conversation you want. A platform offering more contact methods is not proof of a better individual reading, and neither testimonials nor this comparison guarantee an outcome.
