What to Ask a Psychic
The difference between a reading that helps and one that frustrates you is almost always the question. Here is how to phrase yours, and what to avoid.

Ask about one specific situation, include two sentences of context, and prefer an open question to a yes-or-no one. "Will he come back after leaving three weeks ago with no explanation" can be answered; "love?" cannot. The question does more to determine the quality of a reading than the reader does.
Ask about one thing
The single most common mistake is asking about a whole life at once. 'What does my future hold' has no edges, so the answer has none either, and you leave with something that could apply to anybody.
Pick the thing that is actually keeping you awake. One situation, one question. If there are three, ask the most urgent one properly rather than all three badly.
Include what led up to it
A reader is not a search engine and does not need your whole history, but they do need the shape of the situation. Two sentences of context change the answer completely.
Compare 'will we get back together' with 'we were together four years, he left in April saying he needed space, and he messaged me last week asking how I am — will we get back together'. The second one can be answered.
How to phrase it
- Prefer open questions to yes/no. 'What is going on with him' gives you more than 'does he love me', which can only ever come back as a coin flip.
- Ask about yourself where you can. A reading is most useful on the part of the situation you control.
- Say what you are afraid of. It is usually the real question underneath the one you typed.
- Do not test the reader. Withholding the context to see if they 'get it' wastes the reading you paid for.
Good questions by subject
Love: What is behind the distance between us right now? Why do I keep choosing the same kind of person? Is there something I am refusing to see about this relationship?
Career: What am I not seeing about this offer? Is the thing blocking me at work about me or about the place? What would change if I stopped waiting to be picked?
Money: What pattern keeps putting me back in this position? Is this decision fear or judgement?
Family: What is really being fought about here? What do I owe this person and what do I not?
Questions worth avoiding
Anything with a date attached. 'When exactly will I meet someone' invites a made-up answer, and the readers worth talking to will decline to give one.
Medical, legal and financial specifics. A reading is not a diagnosis, a legal opinion, or investment advice, and anyone offering those is selling you something else.
Questions about a third party's private life that they have not consented to. A good reader will redirect it back to you, which is the useful answer anyway.
