How psychic chat works on FateArc
Psychic chat here means writing in the website's chat, on your phone or computer. It is not an SMS to a phone number and not a phone call, and nobody needs to speak aloud. A human psychic writes the replies.
Write your question, then create a free account before sending it; the account keeps your answer and the conversation together. Psychics can see the question while it waits to be picked up. After one takes it, the conversation continues privately with that psychic. Your question is not published on your profile. Replies depend on availability and are not guaranteed.
How long did a reply take in a recent sample?
In a sample of 246 psychic replies to questions sent from this page from October 1 through 28, 2026 (UTC), checked on October 30, half arrived within 1.1 minutes of the question and 90% within 4.8 minutes.
These are past conversations, not a promised response time. Questions without a retrievable reply are excluded from the timing figures; deleted accounts can also remove chat messages. A new question may take longer or receive no answer because a psychic must choose to take it. FateArc emails you if an answer arrives.
What to write in your first message
Choose one situation and the part you want help thinking through. A short description of what happened and what you are deciding gives the psychic more to work with than a request to predict everything ahead.
- Relationships: We have been speaking less since an argument. What should I reflect on before contacting them?
- Work: I am considering a different role but feel uncertain about leaving. What questions could help me understand that hesitation?
- Personal direction: I keep returning to the same choice. Can you help me look at it from another perspective?
You do not need to include anyone's full name, contact details or employer. For a follow-up, point to one part of the answer, for instance: "You mentioned hesitation around the move. What could I reflect on before deciding?"
How chat is billed
After any free-message allowance that the psychic sets, text chat is charged per message you send, at the rate on their profile. A psychic's own replies are never billed. Time spent reading an answer or composing the next message adds nothing, because there is no per-minute meter in text.
Video is a separate format, billed per minute and sometimes with a minimum length, with free introductory minutes at the psychic's discretion. You add a balance only if you choose to continue; it stays on your account for later paid messages or minutes. There is no subscription.
Written chat compared with video
Chat suits people who want time. You can think, reread and reply later, and no one hears your voice or sees your face. Video suits people who want pace and presence, and who are willing to have minutes counted in return. Many people begin in chat and move to video with the same psychic only if the conversation calls for it.
Because the two formats are billed differently, a question that is cheap to explore in writing can be dear to explore live, and the reverse can be true for a short, focused call. Decide which format your question needs before choosing a psychic.
Privacy in a text chat
A written chat is private to you and the psychic who took your question. It is not published, and it is not shown on your profile. Even so, a chat is a written record, so decide what belongs in it. First names or initials are enough for the psychic to work with. Leave out surnames, addresses, workplace details, passwords and card numbers. If a psychic asks for any of those, or asks you to move the conversation to another app, that is a reason to stop.
Choosing a psychic for a written chat
- Check that the psychic covers your topic and writes in your language.
- Compare the displayed rate and billing unit, and look at any free-message allowance before adding funds.
- Read the profile and any reviews for communication style; reviews are individual experiences, not proof that predictions are accurate.
- Make sure the format is written chat, video or both, and note that a reply depends on availability.
- Look for clear terms and a way to reach support if a billing or session problem occurs.
A reading is for entertainment and personal reflection, not a guaranteed prediction or professional advice. Share only the personal context your question needs.
