Not Looking for a Yes or No? 4 Reflection Questions to Get Closer to What You Actually Need to Know

Sometimes the most helpful thing isn't a prediction — it's a better question. If you've felt like a quick answer left you more confused than before, try sitting with these four reflection prompts first. They're the kind of questions I often explore with clients before we even get to "what's next" — because clarity usually starts with understanding what's actually going on beneath the surface.

Not Looking for a Yes or No? Start Here.

Maybe you've been there before: you ask a question, you get an answer — a date, a yes, a name — and somehow it doesn't actually help. The confusion is still there. If anything, you're left with more questions than before.

Next: a free account, so your reader has somewhere to send the answer.

Your question goes to this reader first, and stays visible to other verified readers until one takes it. Once someone replies it stays between the two of you. It is never published.

That's usually a sign the real question hasn't been found yet.

Before you look for an outside answer, it can help to sit with a few questions yourself. Here are four I often come back to with clients — not to solve everything, but to get closer to what's actually going on.

1. What keeps repeating?
Look at the pattern, not just the moment. Is this the first time you've felt this way in this kind of situation — or does it show up again and again, just with different people or circumstances?

2. What am I actually afraid of here?
Often it's not the decision itself that feels hard, but what it might mean — about you, about the other person, about what comes next. Naming the fear directly tends to take away some of its weight.

3. Whose voice am I listening to?
Is the pressure you feel coming from your own sense of what's right — or from what you think you should want, feel, or do?

4. If nothing changed, how would I feel in a year?
This one tends to cut through hesitation quickly. Sometimes staying feels safer than choosing — but it isn't always the same as feeling right.

Where a reading fits in

These questions can take you pretty far on your own. What a reading adds is another layer of perspective — I tune into the dynamics, patterns, and influences around your situation intuitively, and help you make sense of what's beneath it, without cards or simple predictions. Not telling you what to do — helping you see clearly enough to decide for yourself.
