We have all seen these words on various cutesy home decor, with a witchy flair. I personally love them, have multiple ones around my home actually. However, have you ever read the words? And truly understood them? Today, many on the path diligently learn the 'how' of elements of ritual and practice, and they learn it impeccably. But they never learn the WHY, why we do things in specific orders, or phrase it specific ways. This post is not meant to lay blame, but rather discuss the WHY, in case it was missed...

Many know these words, simply stated, and easy to remember, just as any good " in a pinch' cleansing should be. These words I myself have whispered when I wanted to have the "extra comfort" of protection around me. It calls on the element of air, like a gentle breeze, or the way incense smoke drifts and journeys. It calls on the element of Fire , cleansing and renewing, allowing for good new growth to happen. As the Fire burns away what is not good for you, the air clears it away, making way for the new good coming your way. These words clearly set perimeters of what is NOT allowed within your space, and clearly calls in what it wants to fill with. When broken down, these cutesy words carry strong energy for your highest good and truest path. If you set your intentions and speak with meaning, the simple, cute words can aid you in amazing ways.

So, it may be cutesy, simple decor.... But at its roots, it carryies generations of women speaking those words over their own homes and hearths , when days were dark and times were hard..... so when you speak it, remember you honor those who walked the path before us....
