When you think of need, you think of the parts of life that require the simplest things for survival. Shelter, food, water, heat in the winter, cooling in the summer, and community. If you are feeling a need for any of these essentials, lean into the feeling and discern whether you are being restricted or resisted. These are considerations that you need to determine before you make your next move.

In love, need requires little. Attention, time, service, affirmation, and sometimes, gifts. These are what are known as the five love languages. Physical attention, quality time, words of affirmation, acts of service, and gifts. Knowing what is needed takes great skill and the truly wise in relationships will determine each other's love languages and practice them often.

But need speaks to some thing deeper. Some thing primal that is more than mere feeling. When you think about the dawn of humanity, there were things that were necessary to ensure they survived. Fire, food, water, shelter, and others. One person by themselves would struggle to provide enough food for themselves. However, the more people in a clan, the more likely they were to overcome common predators and conquer rivals or larger food sources.

It's about endurance and patience. It's avoiding panic and learning lessons. It's creating boundaries and achieving growth. It's restraining instincts that harm. It's finding inner strength to push forward even when you feel like giving up. It's transforming to be what you need to become to have the life you need.

Making the decisions you must make to have the life you need may require sacrifices. It may force people out of your life. It may put you on uncertain paths. It may mean that you give up things you think you need. So ask yourself at the start of this month, what do you really need? And then, when you answer that question, get on the path and make it happen, Needs require work to procure. Prepare to work!
