Buck Moon

Like a deer shedding last years antlers to grow new ones, we too must shed away what isnt in our highest good and path in order to make room for what is.

Buck Moon

Tomorrow, July 29th, the full moon reaches it apex illumination at 10:39 am EST. July's full moon, called the Buck Moon, is more than a 'full moon'. It is a call from nature to clear away what isnt serving your highest good and truest path. The Buck Moon is called such because this is the time of the year when m ale deer shed last years antlers, so that they can grow new ones, bigger, stronger ones. The buck knows the shedding is necessary in order to grow as it is meant to.

In life, when we become comfortable, it is the human nature that makes us ten d to cling to what is familiar, even when it is truly toxic to us. It is n natural and normal to resist change, especially when we do not know what is coming to fill the void. "better the devil you know... " as the old saying goes.

But if we think about that for a moment, it does not make sense to hold to that old turn of phrase. We can manifest fully, throwing our everything into manifesting something. But have you made room in your life, path, and emotional space for the thing you are manifesting? If you are clinging to things, people, habits, or thought processes that are not in your highest good, then how can what you are manifesting come to you?

Imagine if you will, you are walking with a suitcase in one hand, and duffle bag in the other. Someone approaches you an offers you the one thing you have wanted and wished for, but you have to open your hand and hold it out to get it. In order to do this, you HAVE to sit down something. What would you do in that situation? You would sit something down right? Now why is it so hard to do when it comes to manifesting?

In preparation for the full moon, I like to do what I call " unpacking". I actually make a tangible paper list. One one sheet, I write out what I am manifesting. And then I do the hard part, unpacking that suitcase and duffle bag. I list each 'item', and I really look at it. Is it good for me? Does it leave me feeling happy and fuffilled? If I cannot confident say yes, then I ask myself the hardest question " Is this preventing my manifestation from coming to me?" At that point, I put it in the " release" pile. From there I do my release ritual, and I release it, mourn its leaving, and then I turn to my manifestations.

Now lovelies, with the power of the Buck moon growing, I wish you the best full moon, and a blessed night.
