Tarot vs AI
While people seek guidance from ChatGPT, a lot of us turn to the cards. And while seeking guidance in Tarot, a lot of us turn to AI. Does AI have a place in spirituality and divination?

Oh, you asked ChatGPT? Well I asked my tarot cards.
Let's face it. It's becoming increasingly more common for people to turn to ChatGPT and similar AI chatbots to look for friendship, personal connection and life guidance.
I, and many more spiritual people, like to use the Tarot for such purposes. I personally recoil at even the mention of AI, but I 've noticed many of my friends asking their AI questions that I might usually ask my cards.
I'm talking to this guy; should I make a move?
AmI overracting over this misunderstanding at work?
What should I make for dinner today?
This, to me, further proves that AI does not offer us anything we cannot do for ourselves.
However, as the popularity of the Tarot rises, may new readers, or people who just seek readings, turn to the Internet for solutions. AI, having become inescapable, has also crept into the world of spirituality and divination. I'm sure you've come across loads of AI generated profiles and posts on this very platform.
But Can AI be helpful in interpreting Tarot, Astrological readings, etc.?
Short answer: No.
AI can't possibly understand the symbolism in Tarot, which is deeply rooted in the human condition, emotions, and themes that prevail throughout culture, which predate the Internet, and are therefore inaccessible to Artificial Intelligence.
Not to mention that the physical and spiritual bond we build with our decks cannot be replicated by code.
It is my hope that the Tarot will survive the AI craze and persevere through time as a genuine means for human connection and sprituality.
