What Is an Aura, Really?
An aura is basically your energetic fingerprint. Think of it like emotional, mental, and physical energy leaking just slightly beyond your body. You don’t need to be “gifted” to notice it, you just need to train your perception.
Some people see colors, some feel it, some just know. All valid.
How to Start Seeing Auras
Here’s the simplest way to train your eyes without going cross-eyed or convincing yourself you’re hallucinating:
1. Start with a neutral background
Stand in front of a plain white or light-colored wall. Natural lighting works best, nothing harsh.
2. Soften your gaze
Don’t stare hard. That’s where people mess up. Let your eyes relax like you’re daydreaming.
3. Look just past the body
Focus slightly off the edge of your arm or someone else’s shoulder. You’re not looking at them, you’re looking through the space around them.
4. Notice the outline first
You’ll usually see a faint, almost heat-wave-like outline. That’s step one. Don’t jump straight to colors.
5. Let it build
With practice, that outline can thicken and shift into subtle colors. At first it might look like flashes or tints, not a full rainbow explosion.
And here’s the truth, if you’re trying too hard, you won’t see anything. This works better when you’re relaxed and a bit detached, like “cool if it happens, cool if it doesn’t.”
What Aura Colors Actually Mean
People love turning this into a rigid system. It’s not. Colors shift constantly depending on mood, stress, health, and what’s going on in your life.
That said, here’s a grounded breakdown:
Red Physical energy, drive, survival mode. Can be passion or anger, depends on intensity.
Orange Creativity, confidence, social energy. Also shows when someone is rebuilding themselves.
Yellow Mental activity, focus, personal power. Bright yellow is confidence, dull yellow can mean overthinking or anxiety.
Green Healing, growth, emotional balance. Often shows up in people who support others.
Blue Communication, truth, calmness. Strong in people who speak or express themselves clearly.
Purple Intuition, spiritual awareness, inner depth. Not rare, just often misunderstood.
White or Light High energy, clarity, alignment. Doesn’t mean “perfect,” just very open and expansive.
The Part No One Tells You
Auras aren’t static labels. Seeing “green” doesn’t mean someone is forever a healer. It means that’s what’s active right now.
Also, not everyone sees neon colors floating around people all day. Sometimes it’s subtle, sometimes it’s intuitive, sometimes it’s just a sense.
If you stick with it, your perception sharpens. But if you go into it expecting fireworks, you’ll miss the small signals that actually matter.
